Zerre III

      The emergence of the Zerre series coincides with the corona pandemic that has affected the whole world. This period, which everyone coped with in their own way, led me to create the atelier in my home, which I had been dreaming of for a long time. I never expected that one of the artistic inspirations I was looking for during the days when I was experimenting with various food and cocktail recipes would come from the kitchen. While examining the sauces and cocktails I made in colorful plastic and glass containers with a scrutinizing eye, I almost rediscovered the colors. I knew that I would adapt the art of marbling, which I stopped doing many years ago, to my current works at some point, but I never expected that this imaginary lightning would strike me in the kitchen. I decided to bring what I saw randomly on food containers and cocktail glasses into my studio, this time completely intentionally. I mixed a lot of organic and inorganic materials to get the images you see. For example; milk, motor oil, paints of different character, water, salt, sugar, and many more. When I took control of the randomness, I realized that these works could be spread over not one but several series of photographs, because their dramatic expression was completely different. 

      At some point, I decided to refine the materials to achieve the desired technical perfection in the final image. I used syringes, petri dishes, microscope, etc. to create these images whose effect changes every time. 

     The title of the series, "Particle", comes from the idea of how perfect each particle of life and existence can be. It is not about creation or a religious blessing, on the contrary, it is about how perfect each and every particle of our reality is as we encounter it in the world of possibilities.
