Even if you are not very interested in photography, Istanbul attracts you with every corner and every place. In this respect, it is like a paradise for travelling souls. I spent most of my life as a flaneur in this city where I was born and raised. In the Flaneur series, I presented you the photographs I took during these wanderings.
Istanbul is a city of "opportunities" that has been receiving intensive immigration since Roman times. Having been the capital of Rome, Byzantium and finally the Ottoman Empire, this city has attracted people in every period. The most valuable region of this city, whose current registered official population is around 16 million, is undoubtedly the Bosphorus. This water strait stretching from the Black Sea to the Marmara Sea separates two continents; Asia and Europe. This city, which has received uncontrolled migration since its history, has perhaps been experiencing its biggest transformation in the last 20 years. With the 3rd Bosphorus Bridge, the gigantic 3rd airport and the "Canal Istanbul" project planned to be built despite all environmental reports, it is shifting its growth towards the Black Sea coast.
Every street of Istanbul opens to the Bosphorus, and every flaneur's journey leads to a completely different view...
